New Low Weights after the 7 Mile Run

Finished another good run tonight. Usually I should take a 30 minutes nap
in the afternoon, and had a small snack(half bowl of cereal) around 3pm.
I did not have time to do both because of the explanation of the closing
statement for a refinance and work on a hud1 for a purchase. But I am glad
that I still completed the running. Here are the splits:

Split
Time
Distance
Avg Pace

18:44.11.008:44
28:37.51.008:38
38:41.41.008:41
48:17.41.008:17
58:35.21.008:35
68:36.81.008:37
78:38.91.008:39

The best news is that my weight after the run is 174 lbs now.
This is a new new low.

I wish the interest rates can have new low low so that my clients
can have good refi/purchase rates. But it went up for the past
two weeks.

Also, I understand why we always quote or post the best
scenario rates to the clients since it make the rate look
more competitive, though only some clients can get it.

And samewise, I post my weights when I am 174lbs (or 175 to 185lbs),
But I did not post when I weighted 205 lbs.

It's very encouraging for the short term goal of 170lbs. And I talked to
a lot of runners, we all weighted after the run, it makes us feel better
and more accomplished.

Whether Running is good to your health?

For the runners, we debate all the time:
How many miles per week is good enough?

Wall Street has an article last Friday:
The Exercise Equivalent of a Cheeseburger.
Basically this article says that too much
running is not good for you, especially if you
run more than 30 miles per week.

From my own experience, 6-7 mile run, 10 mile
run and hal marathon run is very esay and comfortable.
I will feel a little bit pain somewhere if I
ran over 15 miles. So I think I will find
my comfortable zone.

I do know that exercise is different from health.
It is very similar to: investment will not all
make money. And over-training will injury the body
body as well.

Though I ran 2.5 hours Monday, I spent 2 hours
on foam roller. And yesterday, I rode bike for
one hour and walked for two hours for the
cross-training. Seems like that I spent too much
time on the exercise now.

First 16 mile Run in 2013

Here are the splits today:

19:41.61.00      9:42

39:06.61.009:07

68:55.11.008:55
79:22.41.009:22

149:29.71.009:30
159:14.01.009:14
169:04.21.009:04

I got up at 6;30am, and did 60 minutes foam roller, plus a
small bowl of cereal. Started running at 7:30am, and completed
running 149 minutes later.

The good news is that I was not tired at all, and kept
similar speed all the 16 miles. If I can keep this speed
I would finish marathon within 243 minutes. My goal is 270
minutes. Seems like I can reach my goal easily.

I finished my first 16 mile run with Robert last year, right
after Urban Cow Half Marathon. He trained for the CIM,
and I just ran for fun. But I got IT bands after that run.
And I felt the pain for about 1 month.

After that Injury, my goal is just no injury and run slowly and
plan to complete my first half marathon smoothly.

I will write blogs for my running training and see how I can improve
to finish my first Marathon. And If I like the first run, I would run one
marathon every year after that
