Steve is training for his April Boston Marathon. And last week
we scheduled to run together this morning so that we do not
have to run on the Christmas day.
My legs still hurts a little bit though I had the tape yesterday.
And Hideshi said that I should be ok. I debated a little Tuesday
whether I should run or not. But I decided to do so since I need
to learn how to run when the leg hurts. It does happen some time
during the race.
Steve finished a speed workout for total of 10 miles. I told him that
10 miles would be too much for a speed work. For Hansons, The maximum
I would do will be 8 miles, with 2 miles warm up and 2 miles slow down.
So we decided to run slower than the pace of 8.
It was foggy in the morning. We could not see much until after mile 4.
It was so good to run in the neighborhood in the foggy morning(or dark).
I felt a little bit pain, but it was a good time to learn how to push the left leg.
I remembered that coach asked to practice to push the left once. And today
was the perfect time.
After the mile 4, I could not notice much of the pain. But still not sure
whether I would push again next time during the race. I am the kind of
person who protected too much about myself so that I can run longer.
(I plan to run till the age of 75).
